I know the proper way to address him would be his title but I was a little stunned at the sudden appearance of John Kerry as I turned the corner on a walking tour of Tribeca. I was lucky I was able to be respectful instead of a dolt.

he said thank you, told him I voted for him, he said thank you again. I kept it brief, his security was hustling him along fairly quickly.

I was on a walking tour of Tribeca given by photographer Frank Jump (he photographs old painted ads on the side of buildings). We turned the corner, and bam, Frank said, "Hey, that's John Kerry" and I said, "Yup, it sure is." I pointed my camera and snapped about 5 photos before he got to the corner (which we were told not to crowd). I had the brief exchange with him, my other members of the group talked to him and shook hands and then he and his security detail were gone.

i think there is about 10 years difference between this pic and how he would look now . but the pic in the op looks about how old he would now be and the nose looks the same.

a tad bemused, you might say -- I think he liked you.

I wish I'd met him, mainly because, as a straight woman, I always thought he

was quite attractive -- Old as he is, he's still got it going on.

It was that female security agent. She did all the talking so I'm guessing she was in charge of the detail, if not then she is their official spokesperson.

My straight friends think he's handsome too but I mostly had eyes for the female agent.

Glad to see he still gets (so) little extra time to walk around cities and greet people. Unfortunely, h'es far less accesible to common citizens than he was when a Senator.
