But then again, maybe it is a ploy to get all the rowdies and trolls out of DU and give them their own playground. Who knows?

I don't see that happening, since damned few centrists are as obsessed as we are with politics. They are not posting on discussion boards. All we will see there are the far right wingers.

But I might be wrong. I hope so, because I like to believe you are right.

It isn't going to be any different than all the other websites where idiots and bigots spew stupid shit. AND it is going to draw time from the DU posters who contribute valuable substance here.

I don't see any reason for doing it other than as a business expansion. Perhaps revenue from DU is down.

and they need money, we have always stepped up when they had fundraisers. If you remember, they stopped the fundraisers because they said they were no longer needed, except for the Valentine's Day hearts sale---by popular demand. All they have to do is ask.
