I worked as a sub teacher today. I hoped to hear her last hour but a teacher begged me to attend an iEP of a difficult student so I missed it. Hopefully she will post her last show for me to hear over the weekend. Randi was my everyday professor, I'll really miss her voice and knowledge.

(39,343 posts)It should run all day today, Hell it may even run the weekend as well.

(9,243 posts)Her previous interview with Bill Maher is on now... Stephanie Miller comes up in about 25 minutes, if I remember correctly.

(468 posts)I am still at work right now listening to the iHeart replay because I missed the last 45 live minutes because I got pulled into a meeting. We were excused to go home an hour ago. One more segment. I'm terribly sad as a fan, happy for her. She is the most awesome personality we have. I'm going to miss her on the airwaves like hell. I hope she has a great life in Costa Rica and maybe one day my wife and I will bump into her and 'the Howard' down there....
Love ya', Randi - and I never called so my cherry never got popped....

(4,452 posts)I found her in 2003 and have been a consistent listener ever since. Besides being entertaining, she always put forth a sound analysis with the facts to back it up. I was constantly amazed at her ability to research and see the connections.
She's about the age I was when I had to drop out of the madness of my "profession". I think it's probably the best thing for her and I know she'll do well
Like you, I never got my cherry popped, but it wasn't for lack of trying.
More woman than you can handle, but wanna try?

(62,270 posts)Thought "damn, we keep losing the good ones, too soon."
But yeah, glad it was my misunderstanding.

(9,243 posts)I really wish her the best and want her to be happy. She deserves it.
*but* I am very sad for me and all her other loyal listeners. There's going to be a hole in my day for a while... On the other hand, I'll have more time for other projects.

(3,411 posts)On WJNO in West Palm Beach Fl-- many years before Air America etc. I will miss her. She is brilliant. She could be abrasive at times and did not suffer the fools who called in to argue with her. I am going to miss her but wish her all happiness, joy and peace in her new life.
