The indictment unsealed in Pittsburgh on Monday detailed 31 counts of computer crimes, aggravated identity theft, economic espionage and theft of trade secrets. It named Wang Dong, Sun Kailiang, Wen Xinyu, Huang Zhenyu and Gu Chunhui, who prosecutors said worked in a single building in Shanghai, China, as part of Unit 61398 of the People's Liberation Army.

(17,751 posts)I said nothing of the kind. But if you want my position on it:
1. It's ok in instances of that pre-positioning being targeted at legitimate intelligence targets. That is, after all, The ENTIRE REASON THE NSA EXISTS.
2. It's not ok if they put it in some random citizens router in their living room.
But that has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that this article is talking about a *completely different activity*.
