You can just see the outline of momma, a Barn Swallow, on the nest on the center item below. Dad kept bringing food to momma. She never left the nest even with everything going on around her. 2. A couple of years ago a pair of barn swallows built a nest in the

vestibule of a Home Depot store near my house. They would fly in front of the motion sensor to get the doors to open. They had a climate controlled area to raise their brood.

especially at the box stores that have those open-access outdoor plant/flower/garden sections...

Not only is it easy to get in and out and 100% safe from natural predators, the plant section tends to attract bugs for a convenient food supply...
