Straight From the Losers CakeholePosted by constitutional mistermix at 8:43 am
Climate change is one of those stories that deserves more attention, that we all talk about, Zucker said, but we havent figured out how to engage the audience in that story in a meaningful way. When we do do those stories, there does tend to be a tremendous amount of lack of interest on the audiences part.
Translation: only an idiot would watch a network that devoted the last few months to talking about a missing airplane, and those idiots dont care about climate change.
The good news for everyone but CNN is that, as counterintuitive as it may seem, theres apparently a finite supply of idiots. The last ratings available show CNN in third place behind Fox and MSNBC.

(103,856 posts)All those people who live near costs will soon see their home insurance policy rates start to skyrocket. You cannot have a mortgage without insurance.
We all remember the mass-exodus of insurers after a spate of hurricanes a few years back...and the prohibitive costs from those who stayed.
Do people like food?..food costs are directly related to climate change
etc etc etc..

(111,255 posts)I don't generally watch news, but I will occasionally tune in and AJA has stories from around the planet on climate change, all told in neutral, unemotional language, and those stories would convince more people that we have to do something, individually and as nations, to slow it down before the release of methane pushes this planet to a new Great Dieoff in which we'll be among the first.
AJA is doing a great job and they'll show him the way.
