The smartest? The dumbest? The most drunken? I found the lists to be entertaining. Seems the deep red states are clustered together on one of the lists. Which list could it be???

(3,447 posts)...have Bachelor's Degrees. SAT's, Incomes, none of that matters...just the % of Bachelor's Degrees?
The sign of being smart: Whoever had the most money to spend on degrees, almost 25% of which will do you absolutely no good in the job market. I wonder what the sign of being -dumb- is.
What's funny is that I would expect Indiana to be on the dumbest list; I'd just think it was because of some reason other than who got a 4-year degree.

(18,402 posts)Because I started clicking through the slide shows, full well knowing that I was just being some kind of click-delivery vehicle for a site that could just as well have given me the list on one page.
What a sucker.
I really don't like lists like these, which take one dimension, such as number of bachelor degrees, and have no explanatory power. Ask yourself about how these charts correlate with race. Ask what it means to be "smartest" or "dumbest." Ask the questions "why" and "what policies are needed to change these metrics," and it might be interesting.
Otherwise, you're just giving a website revenue for clicking.
