I知 not running for president. You can ask it lots of different ways.

BOB SCHIEFFER: You know two years into your term now, you have written a book, that's exactly what Barack Obama did two years into his Senate term. But you've also said about 19 times that you are not running for President. So I'm going to give you a chance to say for the 20th time -

SEN. WARREN: I am not running for President.

BOB SCHIEFFER: But if Hillary Clinton decides not to run, will you reassess?

SEN. WARREN: You know, I am not running for president, but let me say something about that book, because it's important. This is my tenth book, not my first or second. This book is about my life's work. I have written all these books about what's happening to America's middle class and I have watched as America's middle class just gets hammered one more time and one more time and one more time. I have watched as Washington tilts more and more and more toward the rich and the powerful. I wrote this book because I'm out there trying to make sure that every kid gets a fighting chance.

“Run, Elizabeth, run!” chanted a knot of supporters at the back of the hotel conference hall. The first question from the floor got straight to the point. A man asserted that, in her book, Mrs Warren had written about running for the Senate to gain a platform for her ideas, though she had been told she would lose. For the same reason, she needed to run in the Democratic presidential primaries. Her ideas need a national platform, the man said, proposing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont as her running mate.

The crowd whooped and cheered. Mrs Warren modestly replied with her stock denial: “I appreciate the thought, I am not running for president,” she said.

"I appreciate the thought. I am not running for president," Warren said with no hesitation.

She could be heard on the microphone after she left the podium telling AFL-CIO lawyer Damon Silvers, who introduced her, "Nothing can change my mind."

“I’m not running for president,” Warren said.

“So there’s no way you’re going to run in 2016?”

“I’m not running for president. You can ask it lots of different ways. But I wrote this book because we can’t wait longer. It’s written out of gratitude for my start and the opportunities that America built for me, and how I think that’s what we’ve got to do again. I’m committed to that.”

I don't think she plans to run for President. She keeps saying this, and she seems pretty truthful for a politician.

If he or she was like Roosevelt, Kennedy, or someone with ideas like Elizabeth Warren.

I hope I'm wrong but I can't imagine being in that position.

If she changes her mind I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

She's all over the damn place.

One day she says she's not running for president, but then the next day she turns around and says she's not running for president.

So which one is it, Elizabeth?

if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck do you really have to ask?

She is not running for president until she is running for president.

Supporters should work very hard to set the table for her.

It is too early to announce. Not even the presumptive favorite has announced.

Sorry. If she's considering a run, she should be saying non-commital things like "it's too soon to think about that" or "I really haven't given it a lot of thought".

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) pledged Wednesday to serve out her term and sought to pour cold water on the idea that she might run for president in 2016, according to the Boston Herald.

"I'm not running for president and I plan to serve out my term," Warren said at a news conference for Boston mayor-elect Marty Walsh, the Herald reported. Pressed further, Warren said she would "pledge to serve out my term."

Warren added: "I am not running for president. I am working as hard as I can to be the best (possible) senator I can be."

Warren's office confirmed the comments to Post Politics.

So, after having categorically denied she's running, and stating she'll serve out her term as Senator, if she were to announce her candicacy, she'd be starting her campaign with a credibility problem.

I think she's raising heaps of cash so that she can act as King/Queenmaker, and become Sec Treas for whoever is the next Democratic President. That would give her enormous power to do good in her biggest areas of interest.

she should say "I am not going to run for President in 2016."

"I am not running..." just seems a little too nudge nudge wink wink.

I keep forgetting when the campaign starts. Seems to get earlier and earlier and earlier. DU had some people who wanted an Obama primary challenger. I think it was in about January of election year finally it had to be that there could be none, and they'd have to be out there and declared by then? Does EW have all next year to change her mind?
