I'm kinda enjoying posting over at Discussionist.

It gives me a chance to debate the real enemy. It gives me a chance to vent my political frustrations toward a lot of the people that are responsible for said frustrations. One thing that's difficult for me at DU is getting into it with people that, when it comes to ideology, we are mostly in agreement about what the best end results would be. Fellow progressives engaging in neverending bickering can become somewhat demoralizing for me.

That said, I'm sure we will still fight it out plenty at DU, but its refreshing to write opposing view points aimed at people I actually oppose instead of people that I ultimately respect intellectually and compassionately.

2. Same here. DU is like that passive aggressive behavior

Someone you don't like is sitting at another table, so you shit-talk them with your friends hoping they'll hear your insults. That's DU.


Discussionist feels like being in the trenches. A good old-fashioned slugfest with the enemy.

3. One thing that disturbs me is the number of disgruntled former DUers

posting over there. Many still seem extremely angry...especially those who proudly stand against the feminists here.
