Do you know me?
I'm a mom, a grandmother, a dem involved for many years with my party on the local and state level. I'm a a Florida Keys nurse, and have struggled shoulder to shoulder with my HIV patients for their wellness and equality. I believe in the right to life AND freedom of choice, and think that these beliefs can be compatible. I don't care for the use of guns in an intelligent society, but I have no argument against the hunter or the person who wishes a gun for personal safety; however, I do believe that we should have strong gun laws that protect the safety of our citizens.
Other than that, I believe in term limits for our politicians, the total use of lottery funds to our schools, as they were originally intended (Yes, I volunteer as a lunch lady at a school in Florida and I CANNOT BELIEVE the old and rickety and dangerous equipment these ladies have to live with daily!!).
But no more about me...
I just thought that it might be a nice idea to get to know each of you personally, without having to hunt and peck through a biography.
The old timers are well known amongst themselves, but sometimes a reintroduction is helpful to the new kids on the block.
