I am so tired of Him telling all these right wing loonies to run for office, do this, or do that. Now, the Lord of Creation, tired and with a few minutes to spare between creating universes and seeing to the songs of birds, tells Ben Carson how to set up a tax system.

(8,050 posts)Peter O'Toole plays this British lord and heir to a vast fortune who believes he is god. Someone asks him, "How did you decide you were God?" and O'Toole (the character is named Jack) says, "I found that whenever I said a prayer to God, I was actually talking to myself."
That and "Dogma" are among my favorite religious movies.

(8,050 posts)Bizarre, surreal also come to mind, especially when the characters break into song. Hilarious too, and scary, especially when --spoiler alert!-- Jack has his personality change in the middle of the flick. I love it. Actually, I love pretty much anything O'Toole does.

(16,296 posts)when O'Toole played an out of control Errol Flynn type actor that an uptight young eager beaver TV producer had to keep sober and sane for a few days. Movie title escapes me.

(39,343 posts)But to say that an accepted deity is behind your behavior and belief makes it all better... Yeah that's sane.
