80's Punk Star Claims Santa Barbara Shooting Was Elaborate Hoax

Exene Cervenka, singer for ’80s punk icons X, just upset a whole mess of people this afternoon (May 28) with a series of tweets aimed at exposing last week’s Santa Barbara shooting as a hoax.

The 58-year-old frontwoman has added herself to the list of “truthers” who believe Elliot Rodger was just another bad actor in a long line of well-produced hoaxes, which include the Boston Marathon bombings and the attack on the World Trade Center.

Calling herself a “conspiracy therapist,” Cervenka digs into Elliot Rodger’s videos and various news reports in order to find incongruities.

Several videos added to her YouTube channel playlist today that back up the theory that Rodgers manifesto videos were filmed in a studio. “No one died and no one got hurt. The story is 100% fabricated from start to finish,” claims one YouTube truther.

Cervenka believes Rodger’s killing spree, along with the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, were designed to force stricter gun control laws — ultimately leaving citizens defenseless against the government.

Exene fell into Ron Paul nutterism, per her twitter, and moved to Texas to escape liberals and taxes. Fucking whatever.

John Doe moved to San Francisco and if not strictly a Dem, says he likes Occupy and dislikes Republicans tearing apart the social safety net, so I can still love him.

And that's fine. I myself am a little hazy on contemporary country pop radio stars. If one were the focus of a story such as this though it wouldn't mean much that I had never heard of them, and I am sure I would not make a point of mentioning it.

The 1980s punk scene may have been something of a niche market. And in any niche market, names that might be common place to hardcore followers might not be household names to the general public.

Now, had it been one of the surviving Ramones, that would be a different story.

With lyrics like these I am not surprised she would think the UCSB shooting was a hoax.

She had to leave
Los Angeles
All her toys go 'round in black and her boys had too
She started to hate every nigger and Jew
Every Mexican that gave her lotta shit
Every homosexual and the idle rich
Idle rich
She had to get out
Get out

She gets confused
Flying over the dateline
Her hands turn red
Cause the days change at night
Change in an instant
The days change at night
Change in an instant

She had to leave
Los Angeles
She found it hard to say goodbye to her own best friend
She bought a glock on Hollywood Boulevard the day she left
It felt sad

She had to get out
Get out

And that X sure looks like a burning cross

When Obama first came to office, the mass shootings (i.e., Pittsburgh in '09) were "his fault" because patriotic Americans were paranoid that Obama was going to personally go door-to-door and confiscate everything...

Later, I first heard that "Obama masterminded a mass shooting" conspiracy after Gabby Giffords...The loons didn't deny the shooting took place; only that Obama 'brainwashed' the shooter...

But Sandy Hook was beyond the pale...And the true conspiracy believers seem to increase with every incident...
