Guilty or innocent there was no way he was going to walk. They gave him a plea of 20 years when he was facing 3 life terms. In that environment he had no choice but take the plea. The government would not have let him go to trial and take his chances. The fix would have been in. My humble opinion.

Same with Zimmerman. Guilty or "innocent" he won't be allowed to walk. He will serve time for some degree of manslaughter. Less than 10 years (again my opinion).

for his defense. He and his toadies will muddy the waters so much that at least ONE member of any jury will hang it. That's if it even GETS to the jury stage.

BTW, I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying this was the strategy all along and that I believe it will work.

he can always waive his right to a jury and opt for a bench trial.
