Profit driven private health insurance is the biggest racket out there.

It is truly immoral.

Funny because it's true. Or sad because it's true.

I've heard people, even family members, make those statements in exactly those words.

Is Tom Tomorrow lying? ACA is a pro-insurance, for-profit GOP pile with maybe one or two solitary crumbs tossed to Democrats that are likely going to be taken away by the for-profit SCOTUS in order to maintain the for-profit status quo.

Like the recent bumper sticker says:

What Kind of Human Protests Healthcare?

It REALLY is THAT simple.

When the Working Class & The Poor realize WE have more in common with each other
than we have in common with the 1% and their employees in Washington, we can have the "change" we deserve.
YES. WE. CAN!

Our neighbors in Latin America have given us a successful Blue Print for change, but they had one advantage we don't have.
They have transparent, verifiable elections.
We don't, and neither Party seems interested in giving THAT to the 99%.

"The worst enemy of humanity is U.S. capitalism. That is what provokes uprisings like our own, a rebellion against a system, against a neoliberal model, which is the representation of a savage capitalism. If the entire world doesn't acknowledge this reality, that nation states are not providing even minimally for health, education and nourishment, then each day the most fundamental human rights are being violated."
----Bolivian Reform President Evo Morales

FDR said much the same thing in 1944 with his Economic Bill of Rights.
Gawddammm I miss THAT Democratic Party!

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.
