INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis police arrested 13 people Sunday at a rally for Trayvon Martin. He's the Florida teen shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer last month.

The protesters linked arms and sang old negro spirituals. The scene was reminiscent of civil rights demonstrations in the 60's. The killing of Trayvon Martin has struck a nerve.

"For those of you who think us blocking the traffic is an inconvenience, we want you to know how inconvenienced Trayvon Martin's mother and father feel," Pastor David Hampton said.

Hampton and hundreds from his congregation at Light of the World blocked North Michigan for nearly 45 minutes demanding justice. But, their peaceful demonstration took a turn.

Saddened, yes. Surprised, no. It is just like during the large-scale Occupy Wall Street protests; bankers who stole the public's money were safe and sound while those who protested the looting of the nation were locked up.

Its not legal to block traffic. They broke the law, they got arrested. The police seemed very professional and polite the whole time.

I agree that Zimmerman should be arrested as well, but that is a separate event with a separate police force.

The point is that 13 people who block a street get arrested and some motherfucker who puts a bullet in the chest of a 17 year old kid does not.

That's the point.

Sorry you missed it. Hopefully I've just clarified it for you.
