spreading the word on this.

Tell anyone and everyone that their mother/father/grandparents can get strip searched of running a stop sign, or failing to signal properly.

I had to laugh, even though I am outraged & horrified at what our government has become.

Be sure to pass that on when a tea bagger makes some vague reference to liberty.

And I for one think it is a good law. "Granny" may just have gotten herself arrested in order to introduce contraband to a correctional facility. "Granny" may just become unhinged at being thrown in the jail that she pulls out the knife she had hidden in her panties and stabs her booking nurse in the neck. "Granny" may not be that innocent. I am a nurse at a jail. I see "grannies" and "granpas" all the time who are violent and can cause staff bodily harm. So, search on. I don't want to be killed just for doing my job.

fit up in any of her girl parts for transport into the facility and most places...even my IRS building...has a metal detector. At least they only want to search my possessions. Have to remember not to wear an underwire bra, however.

The strip search is for concealed contraband of the powdered or leafy kind...the insanity of which has taken away our freedom to keep our clothes on.

In the article, it was a man for a traffic ticket that wasn't his. Not even suspicion that I could tell. Get arrested or just be in the wrong place at the wrong time or a computer foul up or whatever...get stripped and probed.

Insanity

you will never know. I don't want anyone in a correctional facility to have access to any contraband. Leafy or shiny metal.

How do I know you are not smuggling in contraband? It's not like Corrections workers have never smuggled stuff into jail. Why should you be treated any different than someone arrested for a traffic warrant. It is only a traffic warrant after all.

Criminals use very smart ways to smuggle in contraband and one of those ways is from a fresh arrest. You lose most rights when booked in to a jail and it is for the safety and protection of the staff as well as other inmates. That is how it is and until you get rid of jails and prisons, that is how it will stay.

So you want the Civil Liberties of Americans (hundreds of millions of them) reduced yet again so you'll feel safer.

OK, I get it.

If you look cross-eyed at the cop, and/or he had a shitty day or just wants to throw his weight around, there are dozens of ways to get taken in for absolutely nothing.
