There is talk of Governor's Walker and Christie being prosecuted. I think that's pretty unlikely. Perhaps you've noticed that top-tier Republicans are (like bankers) a protected class in today's DOJ, and among law enforcement in general. They get the "look forward, not backward" treatment.
I hope I'm wrong.

(101,403 posts)Whatever Christie says or does -- and whatever potential donors or Jimmy Fallon and his viewers think -- the question that truly matters is whether Fishmans pursuit leads to the governor himself. Christies Port appointees -- not only Samson, but former PA Deputy Executive Director Bill Baroni and his oddball sidekick David Wildstein -- all face near-certain indictment and are being pressed to hand up Christie, as is the governors former chief counsel, Charlie McKenna.
Wildstein, portrayed as the mastermind behind Ft. Lees traffic problems, has made proffers to Fishmans investigators -- hoping to trade information to the prosecutor in exchange for gentler legal treatment -- but Fishman has cut no deals with anyone so far, and the looming indictments have encouraged Christies PA appointees to sing. Dont underestimate what Wildstein has on Christie, says one source. And Wildstein and Baroni have both turned on Samson. If Samson doesn't give Fishman Christie, Samson is toast.

(64,933 posts)what comes out in late 2015 will probably be very damaging to both those assholes. Whether it results in indictments or not, what comes out will not put either of them in a good light and hopefully killing either's chance at a POTUS run.
