(11,304 posts)on tv. I was out of the country from 6 to 14 yrs old. I know I missed alot of programming. Like Howdy Doody (or whatever its name was).

(30,885 posts)Premise was Dr. Clayton Forrester (Trace Beaulieu) and his crony, "TV's Frank" (Conniff) shot janitor Joel Hodgson into space so that they could use him as a "test case"...making him watch terrible movies and monitoring his reactions. Joel didn't want to be alone so he built his "bots" out of parts on the spaceship.
That's Frank on the left, Trace on the right.

The guys have since split into to different companies, Riff Trax and Cinematic Titanic.
Many episodes are available on Netflix, and any decent sized public library probably has at least a few episodes. YouTube has tons of clips.
Definitely worth checking out, if only to see the train wreck that is "Manos: The Hands of Fate", which makes Plan 9 From Outer Space look like "Hamlet" with Patrick Stewart.
