Support Progressive Radio in Seattle.

Progressive radio in the Seattle area helped me greatly survive the horrible Bush decade. Rachel Maddow, Thom Hartmann, The Young Turks, and of course Stephanie Miller, gave me hope. However, a few years ago the oligarchs struck and and the station was changed from progressive radio to sports, the third sports station in the area, pretty much killing progressive radio in Seattle.

Now KIRO has The Mark Rahner Show on from 2 – 5 pm on Saturdays, if not bumped by a sports event like the World Cup. The show is replayed at 7-10 p.m. Sundays. Podcasts of his show are available on the shows FaceBook page. I believe it’s the only “local” progressive radio available in Seattle.

Rahner speaks to both national and local political issues like the local push for a $15 per hour minimum wage. He also discusses pop culture (he writes comic books) and movies. He was a veteran print journalist at The Seattle Times.

You can also listen via the intertubes at http://kiroradio.com.

Support local progressive radio in Seattle, listen to The Mark Rahner Show and visit the facebook page and leave a “like”.
