3. No smashing. Humane harvesting

He works with a small meat processing company that is FDA approved as he sells at farmer's markets. My pork is raised by a small small farmer (not short, lol) and she uses as local meat processing company that butchers to my specs. Eggs are from another local farmer and her eggs are so yellow, they're like sunflower colors. Her eggs are often double yolks as they are so rich. I'm hoping to have my own chicken coop soon and will be able to have my own eggs and chicken meat. Of course, my veggie garden produces much of our food too and the local farmer's market fills in everything else. It's really nice to live close to the earth.

I remember being seven or eight and cracking an egg that had blood in it, mom explained it all

hanging the pig on the tree and doing the butchering wasn't a big deal but I hated plucking chickens

Someone once introduced me to how rabbits are killed, skinned and dressed for dinner (insert rabbit dressed for dinner joke here). They SCREAM when they're killed!
