(16,020 posts)It makes the arguement against contraception a bit moot doesn't it?
Anyway I fear the worst will occur as we as a species cannot seem to come together to work for the benefit of the world's people, animals, and plants.

Problem solved.
We've got to give up the delusion that we are something more than instinctual animals with complex vocalizations and useful thumbs. There are plenty of studies that suggest we rarely respond rationally to any given situation. The rational mind comes into play as we seek to justify our decisions and actions.

2030 the world will not be able to sustain life..."
Her dad's response was,
"You guys always find the most depressing, worst case scenarios on the Internet..."
Yes, he is from the Ozzie and Harriet generation, literally, as his parents
were friends with them, and in complete denial about many things.
I know she worries because she doesn't have brothers or sisters and is smart
enough to foresee the future and wonder what will happen to her when we are gone.
I have the same fears for her.
Damn the people who caused this bleak future for OUR children, not theirs, OURS.
