(769 posts)They will be known in history books for being the biggest hypocrites. Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, and more should not be allowed to invoke any kinds of religious beliefs if they are violating 8 out of 10 sacred Ten Commandments if they continue to build the weapons designed to KILL people.

(20,018 posts)And those books will say they were right all along (because THEY think they are).
No history and no god will save us. If we can't dig ourselves out of this hole here and now, we're cooked.

(10,597 posts)... what we need is a good old-fashioned Biblical Jubilee,
since we're going all religious and everything.
defacto7
(13,485 posts)just long enough to claim that one.

(20,219 posts)About all the money spent to occupy other nations.
You know, with all the birthin' resulting from their efforts to reduce women to incubators, the Feast of Maximum Occupancy will help people glorify being packed in like sardines, too.

(81,238 posts)The Quakers already have it established that war is against their religion. So there's precedent. Let's turn this on its ear and make it work for OUR side then! Creative obstruction!

(41,977 posts)Dispite the "narrow" ruling-- a precedent has been set.

(81,238 posts)just waiting to exploit this and expand its impact - til they manage to derail the ACA or Roe v Wade - or both. That's the long-range objective here. Don't let anybody try to tell you otherwise.
As I said in another thread - think termites. Think rats. Think bugs. How do THEY get into your house and frickin' take over? They find the tiniest little hole or weakness in the wood, and go for it. And soon that little "teeny" hole turns into the Holland Tunnel. In this case, one that's free - with no toll booths OR chris christie operatives blocking access lanes.

(41,977 posts)I should incorporate, since I am, apparently, the same legal entity as a corporation.
I could incorporate as "human"---name is probably taken, but I could get around that.

(13,485 posts)really screwed up on this one, but you know... they don't give a flying damn... It's not about reality anymore and logic won't stop it. We can look logic right in the face and it doesn't mean shit. Reality is the mythological world they want to create out of the plunder of American freedoms.
The way they are taking us, history will be rewritten to say whatever they want it to say. If we don't bring this madness to a halt, everything gained in the past will seem to disappear with the eraser of god.

(14,573 posts)The Supreme Court could well take that advice.

And yes, the SCOTUS is in dire need of less consistency evaluation and more dogma relief.

(14,573 posts)I do NOT support my tax dollars being spent on the NSA domestic spies or the wars. There is absolutely NO reason for us to spend nearly half of every dollar spent on war worldwide. No reason.
I do NOT support being taxed as heavily as I am when GE, Wells Fargo, Paccar, Mattel and about 25 other Fortune 500 corporations aren't paying ANY US income tax.
And I most definitely DO NOT support programs that help Americans being cut with sequester because Congress can't do its BASIC job.
I do support Medicare for all Americans, free academic or vocational education in public colleges and universities, massive upgrades to our infrastructure - things that would actually make life BETTER for us instead of building more death drones at $2 million each.
And, lastly, I support all of our freedom FROM religion - in our health care policies, in our schools - keep it OUT! My grandchildren don't need to be force fed the young earth creationist pabulum. At all.
So these are my own 'religious' convictions. Should I sue?

(1,942 posts)You are not a Corporation...you only have the limited rights of individuals, which makes you liable of incarceration if you don't follow the line...
Corporations don't go to prison, and can assert their so-called beliefs (which are BS anyway, since they invest in companies that sell drugs to induce abortions) with approval from the Highest Court in the land.
You are not a corporation, and if on top of that you are a, heaven forbid, woman, or even worse, a black or Hispanic one, and you have true beliefs instead of fake ones designed to oppress a certain segment of the population, you are TROUBLE!!! (and in trouble)
