I'm glad Maddow didn't follow Olbermann to Current

I recall how, when Olbermann left MSNBC, many here were hoping Current would be the the left version of Faux Nooz. When Olbermann went there, many were hoping Maddow would follow David Schuster and Cenk to make for a blockbuster Leftie Lineup.

I remain deeply mistrustful of MSNBC, but I am glad Maddow still has a reliable, available gig.

Following Olbermann there would have been a disaster.

Following him there or following him anywhere.

I didn't know that possibility was discussed, it doesn't completely make sense, but if she did why would it be a disaster?

She is pretty easy going. I hope it grows her audience and vice versa. We need lots of liberal voices out there and she is a good alternative to joe scarborough.

8. She'll be fine - her show should be incredibly cheap for Current to produce

The radio show is gonna "pay the bills" to keep her show going. All Current has to do is put a camera in the radio studio - that's really damn cheap to produce.

Even when she went to MSNBC, she still kept her radio show going at Air American until they folded, one of the last few of the original line-up that started with AA to stay until the bitter end.
