I think many people in the media and elsewhere have overlooked the fact that employers don't pay for insurance, only EMPLOYEES do. It's part of the compensation package they offer to employees prior to being hired. It's the same as vacation days, sick days, pensions, 401K matching and your cash salary. And employer telling you what you can and what you can't do with your insurance is like letting an employer tell you what you can and cannot do with your cash. It's obscene and absurd. And all the conservatives that spew the nonsense about religious freedom can suck it because they're not conservatives, they're theocratic fascists.

Can you believe that? The evil NSA 'empire' company offers their female employees FREE MAMMOGRAMS on site so that we don't even have to move our cars to go see the doctor. They do this four times a year. No insurance is involved. Service. A thank you for working for us - we care.
Don't even get me started on what we do for both female and male domestic violence survivors.
Hobby Lobby is wrong.

(5,417 posts)The compensation package includes a health plan that excludes certain types of birth control. Their compensation package does not include it at all. Maybe it did at one point but compensation packages change all the time.
Im not saying I agree with hobby lobby I just dont agree with your point.

(32,000 posts)Look at your annual comp package - funny what they include in my compensation. Makes me twitchy - probably makes you twitchy too.
And they still hold me to my Pre- device launch non disclosure. Even twitchier. But I think they want me out there exposing what I do for Federal Law enforcement. Go figure. Corporations are funny.
