Robert Reich: Deadbeat 1 percenters endanger U.S. democracy

http://www.salon.com/2014/07/17/robert_reich_deadbeat_1_percenters_endanger_u_s_democracy_partner/

In a new Pew poll, more than three quarters of self-described conservatives believe “poor people have it easy because they can get government benefits without doing anything.”

In reality, most of America’s poor work hard, often in two or more jobs.

The real non-workers are the wealthy who inherit their fortunes. And their ranks are growing.

In fact, we’re on the cusp of the largest inter-generational wealth transfer in history.

The wealth is coming from those who over the last three decades earned huge amounts on Wall Street, in corporate boardrooms, or as high-tech entrepreneurs.

Fuck the democracy crap! Corporations and the uber wealthy are what really matter in America! Don't take my word for it, just watch TV or read the cover of a rag while waiting to checkout at the grocery store...we LOVE our rich and all the naughty things they do! Fortunately for them, they are so far above the laws, that they can do pretty much anything horrible and get away with it all day long.

Stealing homes from the middle class...no problem. Committing securities fraud from sun up to sun down...no problem. Running over and killing someone in their car...no problem. Raping their own child...no problem. The uber wealthy have done the impossible - created two completely different sets of laws for them and the peasant class. I'll let you guess which group gets the shaft and which group gets the golden goose.
