I heard it live and caught that at the time, but not everyone did. Even the OP didn't hear that part, as he commented to that fact on a prior post of mine.

The fault lies with the person who let the caller on in the first place, falling for the outrageous claim that he witnessed the missile hit the plane from inside the US Embassy.

She was handed that guy live, on-air. The thought probably never occurred to her that she would be given a call with a prankster on the other end, so it's not surprising that it didn't register what he actually said.

But hey, you're welcome to your opinion of her, I just think it's a bit harsh.
