(33,956 posts)but we are in a weakened political state created by a ineffective system of governance. The partisan divide in this country...and just pretty much political turmoil. I honestly think that we aren't as feared as we once were and perhaps the players see our governmental gridlock as a way to flex their muscles? Kind of a "whatchagonnadoaboutit"?
