Chicken Sh*t House Republicans: Central America Too Dangerous To Leave Hotel, But Not For Kids
Republicans won't go out because they don't feel safe, but that concern doesn't apply to kids in those cities.
Seven Republicans were appointed to a new working group to ..cough...cough...fix the border crisis that they claim Obama has failed to address. They all took a trip to Central America and visited Honduras and Guatemala to check out what's really going on down there because as you know, a weekend trip will reveal all. Christianist Rep. Steve Pearce came away saying that violence had nothing to do with the influx of migrant children to the states.
Congressman Steve Pearce said Wednesday that most immigrants from Central America who are crossing illegally into the United States are driven by economic reasons, not fear of physical danger in their homeland.Pearce, R-Hobbs, said he was part of a seven-member working group from the U.S. House of Representatives that visited Guatemala and Honduras over the weekend.

Pearce said he and the rest of the House delegation that visited Honduras and Guatemala did not venture from their hotel very often because of the dangers, but the message they received in both countries was consistent: "Send back our children."

You gotta be f&*king kidding me. It was too dangerous for these brave House Republicans to leave their hotel rooms, but perfectly safe enough for children to live there peacefully? And you know, politicians from Central America always want to be honest with heroic Congressmen, who were not frightened when they hid in their rooms, so why would they ever lie to them about how violent their countries are?
