It is the same thing wherever you look in the media, the good guys and the bad guys and the really really bad guys are always able to be made out, it is so simple.
When all the guys are brown and just killing and terrorizing each other, then it is best to just ignore them, ergo Iraq for the last two years until one group of brown guys discovered that roaming the countryside in pickup trucks and terrorizing the population came with benefits, then the media paid attention.
If all the roaming bands of heavily armed and loosely organized white militias in America were black, what would the media call and do with them?
Sometimes it all just seems to be a war on semantics, but because words matter so much more in times of war and conflict the semantical war is as important as the real war.
That is all.

But yeah, there is a trend that's true. Remember the Katrina pics? Black folks grabbing bread out of a store were looters. White folks were survivors
