It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of the far-right’s bellicosity in the face of refugee children entering the United States. Not a day goes by without Sean Hannity, Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX), Screwy Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Bill O’Reilly or various screeching mobs composed of townspeople from The Simpsons brandishing torches, pitchforks and AR-15s in reaction to the over-hyped immigration issue. Speaking of Gohmert, this week he suggested that President Obama is allowing women to be raped by “illegal aliens.”

as a culture we appear to be accepting of armed right wing vigilantes.
I wonder if some of the defenders of the Bundy Ranch will join the "Minuteman" taking target practice on the border.
After all they appear to have secured Clark County Nevada with out any serious resistance from law enforcement.

Planning to show up in force to make a statement or even to invade the White House to make Obama resign - that trucker thing in DC, Operation American Spring, etc. I don't see this getting that many people down there in the hot Texas sun to play militiaman.

And really, that's very telling about them - you hear these types talk about what's wrong with America and how they would fix it, and they better not take muh gun cuz me and the people like me are the only things keeping the government from sending us all to gay-immersion Muslim FEMA re-education camps - but they never actually DO anything when something happens. They're either too lazy or in truth too scared to go out and do something. There's a white supremacy group - I forget which one - that is essentially a bunch of Bubbas whose main activity is going out into the woods to drink beer and shoot at the cans and fantasize about some coming race war that they will sit out until the very end when White victory is assured then they'll come jump on the coattails of it. That's the attitude of all the people calling for these various protests that keep flopping, and while not every one of those people are racist like the Bubbas in this group, it's safe to say that there's a lot of overlap in opinions between them.

What are these vigilantes gonna do if the republicans actually control the government? If the future is anything like the past, republicans will do fuck all about the borders. So will these nut bags start pointing their guns at republicans or will they just forget about the borders until the Democrats are back in charge?

If they do show up - then the National Guard might actually have something to at the border - they could arrest all these traitors.
