Joe sixpack, woefully uninformed and so easily influenced.

I had to share a brief visit with some of my wife's family.

Nice enough folks, but I left the room and came back to see the guy watching the duck dynasty racist pukes, i quickly engaged in a conversation and turned it off.

At one point he was telling me about a job he might want where he might get lots of overtime, so I asked "if you didnt get over time pay, time and a half, would you do all that over time?"

No, he said.

I then asked him which political philosophy, liberal or conservative, did he think was responsible for the existence of such laws forcing the employer to pay those wages, he didnt know so I told him.

He then complained that raising the min wage will mean he makes less in some way, so i explained that the more everybody makes
the more everybody makes and we should want a race to the top, not the bottom, and that the more money someone has to spend the more they will buy from the store HE Works at resulting in more money for him.

It kind of all went over his head, but at least i got it out.

It was obvious he was a typical rightwinger, not a clue why he votes the way he votes, etc.

They just don't get it. They think Reagan created their union, I guess.

some injury he incurred on the job turns out to be a RWer who apparently has no clue how the candidates he supports would have made all of those things (and many more) he depends on impossible.

And, out of the blue, he just wrote on my Mom's facebook wall, "I can't believe my sister promotes this know-nothing, do-nothing president." No specific complaint, just that generic BS. My mom has avoided politics in order to keep things civil with her RW family members, and he starts this shit. Ugh.

and very few of them would have them without Obama

but they hate Obama

Personally, I cant find a SINGLE REASON to hate Obama, from the right, unless it is racism

Sure, there are some lefties that really dislike Obama, not for racist reasons, but that actually makes sense to me...i dont hate Obama and I take him for who he is, but I understand why some very left folks would have issues...

but if you hate him or say you are against his policies and you are a righty, you are really just a racist
