We painted our house gray a few years ago, and most of the samples had a green, or blue, or yellow cast to the gray (one was even pinkish).

I finally printed a block of 50-50% B/W on my black & white printer and had the paint store match it. Looks great with white trim, black shutters, and our red doors.
