Why to be concerned about e-bola in West Africa...HERE.

NPR is reporting that a man died...just in time. He was going to hop a plane to Minnesota to visit family. They've since stopped flights out of Liberia. They should quarantine the entire area until this is under control.

of one of the American docs who has contracted it has already come back to the states, although they left before his symptoms became apparent. They are being monitored for fever etc. I believe they live down south, Atlanta maybe?

(/sarcasm).

Or as I like to say to my redneck neighbors, "Why should I pay fer my neighbor's contagion!" Although they don't ever seem to get it. Maybe "contagion" is too many syllables.

right now (Tanzania). He is with the Peace Corps, so I assume they are watching this carefully and will act if this gets too serious.

It is very scary. Stephen King's "The Stand" has always been one of my favorite books, but it always had a bit of "hey, that could happen..." even though it is fiction.

I hope they can contain it and people there are safe.
