There's Something Wrong With Us As People When We Honor Leaders That Lead Under War Conditions....

We've heard statements - like he was a great president because he was a war president.

Leaders all over the globe seem to aspire to have their term in office under some type of war conditions. We look back in history and there are many accounts of great leaders that led us into war or fought wars.

What's wrong with us as a people where we attribute such accolades to world leaders that conduct wars.

Why can't we honor leaders that bring us PEACE?

Maybe we should begin to do some 'behavior modification' on world leaders and make them feel good about leading their people to PEACE. Make them feel good about being called a "Peace President" or "Peace Prime Minister", or "Peace Emir", or "Peace King".

This is my thought for the day.

So prevalent here in the US. All people in the military are thought of as heroes "protecting our freedoms". No critical thought needed.

Those with the profits write the history. Who wants to read a history of the most powerful fighting force the world has even known using unchecked military aggression for corporate resource grabbing against poor people with pointy sticks?

"Those people were damn heroes is what they were! My child didn't kill & die for Texaco and a paycheck! It was protecting your ability to walk safely down the street and read english and go to school and hug your kids and freedoms!"

Because we adore war and admire warlords...or at least offer tacit support.

War is over if we want it, yes, but not enough of us want it badly enough to refuse to comply.
