133.6 inches, and it's still coming down in big fluffy globs. Wish we could share some with you.

(46,436 posts)but I'll try to get out and take a few pics later. We have had some (not much) melting this spring, so, of course, it doesn't look like 10 feet of snow, but there's probably still at least 3-4 feet on the ground in most places and much more where we've shoveled the driveway and such. We're all getting a little tired of it, but it is very beautiful.
Our normal snowfall is around 62 inches a year, so we've doubled that. The old record was set in 1954-55, I believe.

(40,656 posts)feet of snow. I saw the snow this afternoon, huge flakes. They didn't stick much but I have about 4-5 feet at my house. :0)
Some of it I pulled off my roof. A yearling moose crosses my porch to avoid the drifts and he sleeps there sometimes.

(31,893 posts)so dry here I think I'll be spending the entire spring and summer in fear of a forest fire. Climate change sucks.

(14,275 posts)Is it possible for you to still have snow remaining from this winter by the time the next season starts? I have seen some pretty nasty winters here in Minnesota, but nothing like what you are experiencing.

(46,436 posts)but it'll probably take a little longer this year. May is one of our warmest months, so I doubt that the snow will last past the end of May except in the city snow dumps. We were already getting quite a bit of melting before this snowfall today.
I'm always amazed by how fast spring comes on here. In Thompson Pass, down by Valdez, their average snowfall is 600 inches a season and yet when you drive through there in June, the snow is almost all gone, the flowers are blooming and everything is green and beautiful. Where does it go?

(46,436 posts)The flooding here happens out in the Bush when the rivers break up and get clogged with ice jams. Some of the villages have had really bad problems the past couple of years.
For example, here's an article about the flooding in 2009 http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124173392622498125.html
Here's one from last year: http://www.adn.com/2011/05/11/1857898/kuskokwim-flood-rose-so-fast-residents.html
