Netanyahu..you have made a grave error

and when you lose support from people like me, you are in deep trouble. ... do not think, you have some sweet spot on the right.. they have been using Israel for years to gain power.. the far uber right Christians who have been giving money to have people settle are doing it to start the "end times" where all Jews according to their belief system.. will either convert to Judaism or be destroyed.

You may think you have gotten some kind of power hold.. but you do not.

We on the left side of the aisle.. will ALWAYS protect and fight for the Jewish people to be safe.. but we have no investment in the goverment of Israel.. they are two different entities..

Just saying..

I have said it before, and doubtless will say it again: Netanyahu will go down in history as the man who did more than almost any other individual to damage the long-term security and prospects of the state of Israel.

Can this be true? What is WRONG here? Why should the U. S. be increasingly alone in supporting Israel? And why should my taxes be going to kill Palestinian children?

It COUNTS!!! BIG-TIME!!!! It makes a huge difference. Around the world! And like it or not, reasonable or not, they're losing the PR war with all the bombings. This is not good - especially for THEIR cause. If they want world sympathy, they're not playing this as shrewdly as they may think. And I support Israel's right to exist. But man they're doing themselves some serious damage here with their intractability. I get why they feel compelled to hold a very hard line here. But they're gonna pay a price for it. They risk a whole lot more than they may have expected. If you lose the PR war, you have a VERY serious set-back. As we've seen here in this country every time bush/cheney made a move and the entire media/PR machine backed them up monolithically. Democrats and liberals and progressives, unfortunately, lose the PR war more than anything else.

Which is why the Dark Side has gone so deep with the media, owning the radio airwaves, the limbaugh/Pox Noise machine, starving and outshouting liberal talk radio, etc. THAT is why. They know and understand very clearly how important the PR war is. That's how both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom got going and gained traction. It was a concerted, focused, well-orchestrated, well-organized, and well-funded, PR effort. And it worked. Remember that "poor young lady" from Kuwait testifying in Congress about babies being ripped out of incubators by invading Iraqi troops? Never happened. It was made up, and she was coached. I believe she was some ambassador's daughter from over there. And one of the big PR firms was in charge of the case, managing it. Managing it quite effectively considering the way it organized and led and manipulated public opinion in favor of those wanting war. I forget if it was FleishmanHillard or Hill & Knowlton. One of those.

You lose the PR war, you lose. Period. Seems awfully superficial, doesn't it!? But that's how it is.

consequences. He lost me with that speech yesterday. He didn't even look like he believed what he said but he said it and I think it was an opportunity lost to begin to put the nation on the correct moral ground concerning the government of Israel. Facts are facts...the media is controlled by powerful Israeli supporters and so is our government and now I fear so is our President. This is NOT about Jews. It's about a corrupt and immoral government and its leadership. They lie and deceive at will just to be able to kill more and more Gazans. War crimes are being committed and even promised and bragged about and we stand by vacant of even truthful speech.

We need to make AIPAC a thing of the past.

Without our monies, such that 3 billion dollars directly flows to Israel on an annual basis to Israel. while US lawmakers either directly allow it, or indirectly stand by, as another 9 to 17 billions of dollars are indirectly offered Israel, nothing will change.

On Israel's side in this. While I didn't think it was right to displace so many people from their land and expect them to be happy about it, I figured, well, not much to do but make the best of it (a two state solution) and I mostly supported Israel.

Over the past 8 years or so, with each bout of asymetrical warfare and each instance of more land grabbing, I was less and less for Israel. If you leave a people without hope or self-determination, you get people with nothing to lose, who turn into terrorists. The young children who are bombed while they sleep in UN schools and whose families are killed indiscrimenently, all you do is create more hatred and terrorism.

This last bout has made me completely despise the Israeli government and not side with them at all. It still doesn't make me a supporter of Hamas, but if another country did that to me and mine, I might take up arms against them knowing I was going to lose and not caring.

Unless they are willing to commit genocide IE a "Final Solution" all they Israel is doing right now is creating more people who hate them (with damn good reason) who will be wiling to kill themselves if they get to kill some Israelis when they do it - good job creating more hopeless people, Israel!

Not one more cent from the US to Israel!

I am not on the side of the Likud party. I am against any right wing party. I have issues with any ultra-nationalist party.

The same military industrial complex which feeds on America and manipulates it's policies (both foreign and domestic), manipulate Israel through Likud to keep the region destabilized and good customers. Those people on both sides willing to work out a solution(whom we know exist), are out shouted, discredited or stuck down by the manipulated and manipulators.

That's why 40% (my guess) will support Israel no matter what they do....cause their preacher told them that god picked Israel and Israel is never wrong....until the end of days when they shall convert or go to hell. Yay Rapture!

AIPAC has bought off the rest who aren't scared of offending the god followers

the Arabs?" (I knew no distinction as to nations then). Why should they give up lands because the Jewish people suffered due to Hitler? In my immature mind, it never made sense. BTW, I'm half German with a grandfather born there, died before my dad really knew him. Grandfather on the other side, first generation Norwegian and very liberal, Jewish people married into the family over the years. Pretty crazy, but how could anyone with human feelings support "Netanyahoo?'
