In Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS, all the Gods who live in America derive their wealth and power from how much they are worshiped, observed or believed in in America.

(For instance, the American version of an Indian god exists because of imported beliefs of Indian immigrants so the Indian version may be a huge powerful God while her American counterpart pf the same name is a minor figure.)

Eostre, the Saxon goddess of spring, is an ironic goddess in the book. She is a pretty well-to-do goddess in America even though almost nobody worships her. In fact, she is a more propserous goddess in America than anywhere else.

Since Easter was named for her, and our observance of Easter incorporates some pagan elements she benefits every time somebody buys a chocolate rabbit. (while Jesus benefits from the non-pagan elements of the same holiday) She isn't being worshiped, per se, but her feast day is being observed, and as one of our biggest holidays.
