I had a chance to make this point to someone yesterday.

During the time I've lived in my current place, I've seen three post offices within walking distance close. I only found out about the latest one yesterday when I asked a security guard downtown what had happened to the post office that had been located in an office building nearby. He commiserated with me about the latest closing and then let drop something about the USPS losing money, which gave me my opening to mention that Congress had passed that law requiring prefunding of benefits.

It kills me that the post office is actually mentioned in the Constitution and the current GOP is still trying to slaughter it.
