CNNs S.E. Cupp was the conservative frontrunner to take one of the two spots on the panel until today when their roundtable got so heated that ODonnell equated Cupp with her arch nemesis Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The View held mock tapings of the popular morning show on a nearby set Thursday as the final chemistry tests for all the lucky ladies. They did 15-minute Hot Topic segments, a source told Radar. These were all top secret tests, but there was a live audience and everything was being taped. They were talking about the difficult decision families have to make. And S.E. said she thought it was ridiculous that abortion has become so easy. And Rosie and Whoopi pounced! noted the source of what turned into a verbal melee. Rosie and Whoopi ganged up S.E. and just went after her. Rosie told her, Youre just rattling off Republican talking points. Thats not what we need, recalled the source. Rosie told S.E., I will not let this turn into another Elisabeth Hasselbeck situation. I will not work with another Elisabeth Hasselbeck, continued the source, adding that Cupp looked stunned. Whoopi said, This isnt about abortion. And it went from bad to worse. Cupp, who kept her cool, responded, Im just giving my opinion. ODonnell retorted during the back and forth, How old are you? added the source. Cupp responded, What does that have to do with anything? Thats irrelevant. But the comedienne pressed on with, Why arent you answering the question? said the source.
It got so nasty that Whoopi said in front of the live audience, Have you ever had to make that decision? The audience gasped, the executives started freaking out, they had to cut. It was so uncomfortable. It was a massive train wreck, continued the insider. It became so dirty, personal and nasty. It was a feeding frenzy on S.E. Cupp! Our source said the stormy segment is all caught on tape, but wont make it to air and its very possible neither will the popular political commentator. This killed her chances at this job. S.E. knows shes out, said the insider. http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/08/the-view-rosie-odonnell-whoopi-goldberg-s-e-cupp-sunny-hostin-sherri-shepherd-jenny-mccarthy/

(81,238 posts)I despise her. Smug, snarky little snot-nose! I'm glad Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg had her roasting on a spit. I'm DELIGHTED that it was a feeding frenzy on little sippy cupp. I'd be curious as to who her agent is. Seems like it's somebody pretty big-ticket. She sure gets an awful lot of nice exposure and jobs (and shots at jobs) that should rightfully go to FAR better and more deserving women.
I HOPE she's out. I'd like to see her out of the limelight PERIOD. I'd like to see her permanently retired.

(81,238 posts)Wish Stephanie Miller was on there. Why do we have to have CONwomen on there anyway? Why do we make ANY room for that viewpoint? Their side spent so much time and energy muzzling ours. I'd like to see the tables turned, and keep THEM muzzled for awhile.

(20,135 posts)Palin would be comedy gold. It would be awesome watching her spew her idiocy and get ripped to shreds.
She was only scary when she actually came close to being a heartbeat away from the presidency. On a morning talk show, it'd hilarious

(32,080 posts)From the sound of it, she's the one who brought up abortion, knowing full well what a hot-button topic it is. She also knew EXACTLY with whom she was going to discuss the matter, and how they would react to anything she would say about it. I wouldn't be surprised if she knew she was probably not going to get the job anyway, an saw it as an opportunity to push Rosie O'Donnell's buttons. Rosie is a favorite subject for right wing bashing, and I wouldn't put it past this little twerp to stir up shit to make her look bad.

(10,952 posts)Cupp argued that non-disruptive prayer should always be allowed, even in private places.
Goldberg, sporting a new hairstyle, said she doesnt mind prayer in public places. But I dont want to know youre doing it, she said. Likewise, she said she doesnt want anyone approaching her to ask why she isnt praying.
From there it got worse with Cupp arguing that Goldberg doesnt have the right to get upset when she sees someone praying, and Goldberg arguing that no one has the right to ask her why she isnt praying.
Of course, everyone has all of those rights, but thats beside the point.
Neither Cupp nor Goldberg seemed to understand each other, with Goldberg eventually clapping her hands at Cupp the way a teacher might snap her fingers at an unruly student.

(1,805 posts)and staff members needing a buck, you can bet you see it somewhere before too long. What a ditz! With those (probably fake) glasses along with the initials as a first name (which is Sarah - figures) to give her some gravitas. I haven't watched "the shows" in so long, I thought she was still on CNN or Fox or MSNBC or the show she had on GlennDreck.com. She's been bounced around so much I (fortunately) can't keep track of her. For the record, she's 35.

(32,723 posts)Ever since Newt came up with his Word List and they won with negative campaigns the Right has been nothing but a Tourette Syndrome of spouting negative bile about their political foes.
The only thing they can promise America is the destruction of Liberalism as if that will solve everything because they define is as everything that's wrong with America. You know, like world peace and equality and the freedom to love who you want and equality under the law no matter your race or religion or status. Clean energy and clean air and water and saving wildlife and forests and wetlands.
All that stuff is like living in hell to Conservatives because people are getting along and they thrive on us tearing each other apart.

Snidey Cupp belongs on FOX and nowhere else.

(979 posts)My partner loves to watch The View, and while she is not really political at all, even she would turn the channel when Cupp was on. Cupp is nothing more than a walking GOP talking point. They had a discussion on marijuana one day and I about flipped out at her stupidness. She's not good for blood pressure.

It's not like she's ever been on the television machine before... saying things... with words... out of her own mouth...
