1. Weird that people drive around w/their passenger doors unlocked in the first place.

I'd rather have someone open my door and look for valuables (They won't find any. Worst they could steal is my credit cards and ID or the car stereo or car itself) than break my windows or otherwise damage the car trying to get in. I've also locked my keys in the car enough times that I learned how to break into my own car but it's not fun.

I always have all the doors locked when I'm in my car; I'm not an idiot.

to lock and/or unlock your own car doors. This is an easily preventable crime here.
