Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe MSM news reporting is bordering on evil....look at the parade of apologists and warmongers
Just on one issue, Iraq, they bring on day after day, the constant drumbeat of propaganda, the constant insistence they were not instrumental in permitting an atmosphere of fear fuelled by obvious lies to overwhelm the sensibilities of an entire nation.
Steve King, terrorist supporter, waxing idiot on Iraq, now the Idiot In Chief, John McCain trotted out to threaten the kids on the lawn with artillery shelling, the Big Three refusing to not believe every word put out by IDF in the middle of a war, the deflection of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, they whisper that Obama is only helping the Yazidi because they are Muslim, the constant blaming for all things, the further whispers of dictatorship, without any context for any of it, no history, or with false context pulled out of their asses.
The MSM loves war and hides the costs and consequences of war almost as if it were a plan.
The wars Americans should be waging are not the noisy civil wars half a world away, it is the silent war declared on your mind right on home turf by your patriotic media.
Do Americans love war and love being lied to as much as the media loves doing it?

(25,111 posts)will survive doomsday and re-create an utopia of all "Christians" while the other religious beliefs would be snuffed out of existence. I would volunteer Ms. Lindsey, McCain, Rove, especially Cheney, Rummy, and the rest of the neocons to serve on behalf of the USA front roll seats in Iraqi. Believe me they all will find an excuse why they can't serve.

(14,173 posts)That's a very good question. Not anywhere near even a small minority in DU I'd safely say, but in the general population?....Have they been conditioned to almost crave the Next One? Through movies where the good guys in white hats (or American helmets) always come out with sympathetic portrayals. Through video games, where you never can be killed, but you get to blast away the evil hordes? (Whose evilness is never explained, they just want to kill you and all Americans). Through the MSM that simply refuses to allow the other side to have equal time to explain their reasoning in a non-antagonistic setting, whether its an anti-war/MIC, Occupy, anti-GM food, anti-super pac voices....
All of the above, but the latter is the most to blame. They have become masters at the nuances of bending public opinion by not only repeating and repeating any angle that will prop up what they want to promote, but by omission of important developments in stories that challenge that point of view as well.
