Putin to visit Crimea August 13-14, chair on-site Security Council meeting in Sevastopol

MOSCOW, August 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will make a working trip to the Crimean Federal District on August 13-14, the Kremlin’s press service said.

“On August 13, Putin will chair an on-site meeting of Security Council members,” the Kremlin’s press service said.

“On August 14, the Russian president will meet with members of the State Duma factions of political parties. He is expected to have a frank discussion with legislators on crucial aspects of domestic affairs that were raised at legislators' meetings with the electorate and labor staff, including those in the republic of Crimea,” the Kremlin said. “Special attention will be paid to every-day practices of political parties’ activities in the modern competitive environment.”

Taking part in the meeting will be Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, the leaders of political parties’ factions in the lower house of parliament and federal ministers.
