Robin Williams hung himself in his home by placing one end of a belt between a closet door and door jamb. Rigor mortis had set in and he was slightly suspended above the floor in a seated position.

He had tried to slash his wrists first. Testing for toxic substances and whether or not he was under the influence of any drugs or alchohol at the time of his death.

Not releasing information on whether or not there was a suicide note at this time.

It seems like a terribly bad idea to detail the method by which a celebrity committed suicide in a nationally-televised press conference, somehow.
