Yesterday the rebels proudly announced that the Ukrainian forces had been repelled by the brave chetniks from Serbia. These aren't run of the mill chetniks; they're part of the "Chetnik movement" or pokret.

You may remember these. A while back, the day after a march commemorating the 1990s massacre of Muslims in Srebrenica, this particular group had a march in full regalia commemorating a similar massacre of Muslims for a similar reason in the 1940s under Hitler, carried out by the same group.(Or at least their ideological forefathers--the group was properly banned under Tito and resurrected in the '90s ... Remember the '90s and the war that involved an attempt to establish a "Greater Serbia" ... One that Strelkov-Girkin, the "commendant" of the Donbas army participated in, on the side of Serbian nationalists?)

Thing is the Chetnik Movement was celebrating the massacre of Muslims because they like the idea of Serb domination of minorities in a Greater Serbia. And they held their celebratory parade the day after the march memorializing the 1990s massacre intentionally, to make a point. The point was to be offensive and show that they wanted to intimidate people.

This group worked with Hitler to fight for the freedom of a Greater Serbia in the Balkans, a fight that included fighting the Communist partisans. In this, they are part-and-parcel in the ideology of the rebels in the Donbas. However, the Serbs were doing no more and no less than the Banderites that the Russians so decry, with one trivial difference: The chetniki didn't run into the "Russian" Red Army, as far as I know. And by being pro-Russian nationalist now, all taint of fascism has been absolved and their continued fascism dubbed "enlightenment."

that came into being with the help of neo nazis, as it murders its own people. All so that the IMF can get its hands on yet one more nation of victims.

Their economy is in the tank due to the corruption that was prevalent after the 'Orange Revolution', and they were prime for the IMF's predatory 'loans'. So the rebels do not want to be forever enslaved to the IMF and as a result they are being murdered for daring to refuse that enslavement.

Saw some nice pictures of McCain posing with the leader of the Neo Nazi party in Kiev last December, and Nuland, whose husband is a neocon, which should not surprise anyone. Her 'guy' in Kiev quit recently as the government fell apart. They are having problems in Western Ukraine now too. I wonder will they start killing THEM also.
