Chris Hayes said on Rev. Al's show that Ferguson cops won't allow people

to stationary protest. Mobile protest okay, stationary not okay.

Oh, yes. Now I remember. We have a right to mobile assembly, not a right to assemble.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

Stupid Bill of Rights forgot the word "mobile".

Will have to come from the residents via taxes, so it's a circular cycle where nobody really wins.

But yeah, just thinking about that too...it will hurt those that get hurt the most by these decisions. The cops can all move on and get work. Or maybe not all of them.

Still this is a civil rights issue now, the PD has/had ample time to stop rioting and work with other law enforcement. Certainly not help the prime suspect flee the crime scene.

Holder is heading there, I think maybe the CoP is in for a rude awakening.

a pricey for-profit security force. And they'll force everyone out of Ferguson. And, like Detroit, land can be picked up for a song.

on the first amendment during my attendance with the OWS groups in my city. It appears that the SCOTUS decided to give the when, where and even what decisions to the local authorities. I believe this happened in 68 and was due to the marches against the Vietnam war. Perhaps someone else knows more about this, because I could never find that decision anywhere.
