I work with a rescue group. Black cats and black dogs are the last to get adopted. Look it up! I have two of both, all black, that could not find homes.

I have 2 black greyhounds and our rescue group coordinator thanked me profusely for taking both of them to the monthly meet-and-greet at a local Petco so that people could see that black dogs are not aggressive or mean.

I love my black greyhounds and am honored that they have given me their love and affection. I am so glad I can share them with others. But thank you for rescuing not just dogs, but black cats. With greyhounds it's not often possible to have cats because of their prey drives, and 2 of mine have prey drives that make them not,safe,around cats.

black cat adoptions around Halloween because of some sick assholes. (I won't go into it, but you can imagine.) So black kitties have it rough, in general. I've never had an all-black kitty, but two awesome tuxedo's with tons of personality and a gorgeous, sweet Coon who all adopted me, rather than the other way around.

And the toxicology report. That cat could've been high on catnip, the officers probably did feel threatened. It could've been charging at them in a yowling drugged-up rage. I guess we'll never know what really happened. That cat shouldn't have been in the tree in the first place. It was probably killing birds, the thug. That's what I heard, anyway.
