Cats and Capitalism

Just sayin'
the point is that the joys of having a pet should not be limited to people with money.
Under capitalism it is.

The criticism should be directed at the system not at an individual.

Enlarge your thinking and you too can be a progressive democrat and a critical thinker.

btw,
I didn't "get a pet". The cat got me.
this stray cat appeared at my window. winter was approaching. I fed her, and sheltered and ultimately adopted her.
no one in my position really needs someone to self-righteously say, "If you can't afford it don't get a pet."
I feel bad enough thank you.
My consolation is that this cat has had - so far - 15 years of the best life I can give her.
How long would she have lasted as a stray?
How many illnesses would she have suffered?
Perhaps she would have wound up in the shelter where - in order to save money - they pile the cats up, and don't even use enough gas to kill them. They gas them a little, and then let them die slowly.
Would that be better?
