I'm not a fan of censorship, less opposed to self-censorship

. . . I posted a tweet in the title of my post from a photographer who specializes in gritty and provocative city scenes who published a collection of stark photos of MO. cops in full battle gear and others . . .his tweet was a not so cute play on the words 'shoot' and 'cops.'

While I understand the intent may have been to be provocative, I don't think it was an invitation to shoot anyone with anything but his camera. Still, I don't believe it's something I can be comfortable with leaving up as a post here.

This obviously isn't my personal forum and I share this space with many, many people who deserve these pages to be free from even the hint of unnecessary provocation or threats, and I'm obligingly removing the offending post with the offending and provocative title.

I apologize for any offense caused by it, and also to the site owners for my indiscretion and judgment in making the post

. . . that couldn't be effectively explained here without any negative impact remaining.

I wish the photog and his collection of portraits well. He has a rare talent with a worthy subject line of urban reality and grit in his vast collection of photos.
