Media Punked By Fake 'Josie' Account Of Michael Brown Shooting

"Dana Loesch was all over the air last week defending caller 'Josie's' claim to be telling Darren Wilson's story. Either she was punked or she was part of the punking.

Last weekend, a caller named "Josie" called into Dana Loesch's radio show claiming she knew the real story of Michael Brown's shooting because Darren Wilson had told her. The story spread like wildfire through The Blaze, Breitbart.com, Drudge, and more. Then it shot right into mainstream media with CNN jumping on it too.

Just to make sure it caught fire, Loesch appeared on Fox News to defend Josie's account of the killing.

The story was exactly what you would expect it to be. Michael Brown was the aggressor; Wilson was the victim. Brown rushed Wilson and he had no choice but to shoot. And so on.

As it turns out, that story was lifted from a fake Facebook page..."

FOREVER.

And we will say, "Josie wasn't real. It was all made up." But they either will just change the subject and bring Josie up again later, or argue that MAYBE Josie was real.

20. The curse of all who inhabit the reality-based community:

Reality-based community is an informal term in the United States. In the fall of 2004, the phrase "proud member of the reality-based community" was first used to suggest the commentator's opinions are based more on observation than on faith, assumption, or ideology. The term has been defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from judicious study of discernible reality." Some commentators have gone as far as to suggest that there is an overarching conflict in society between the reality-based community and the "faith-based community" as a whole. It can be seen as an example of political framing.

The source of the term is a quotation in an October 17, 2004, The New York Times Magazine article by writer Ron Suskind, "Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush," quoting an unnamed aide to George W. Bush (later attributed to Karl Rove):

The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ... "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

Instead we'll get "The Josie hoax is itself a hoax" and "Even if she doesn't exist, her story could be true!" and it will be like Saddam's WMDs, birth certificates, Vince Foster, and every other lie that never dies.

Heck, they are still pushing the broken eye socket bullshit!

Something along the lines of:

"This story has been known to be fake since about X hours after it was unceremoniously dropped into the conversation like so much turd in a punch bowl. The most cursory research into the topic would have revealed this, so either you haven't done the minimal work required of a barely passing elementary school report, or you're purposely disseminating falsehoods in order to further your narrative. So, which is it, are you a liar, or merely an incompetent?"

Fits any bullshit right-wing meme of the week.

I knew they were all a pack of lies to begin with. Listen, everybody: If there's a story rolling around that sympathizes with Wilson, know that it's a GD lie. Has anyone noticed all the talking heads coming on to defend him? Whenever there is a panel discussion and their faces are present, I switch channels immediately. They are hired PR persons. It is the travesty of M$M.

There will be hell to pay if that man walks. Mark my word. And the people who enabled it will be so sorry they did. It's so sad to see in this country. There's a problem and rather than face it and deal with it, they choose to cover it up. Karma comes back to get them, every single time. But they never learn. They never learn. What's the matter with a people that can't learn by their mistakes? I guess they get away with it, and that's why they keep on doing it. So, the chaos and turmoil goes on and one and on.
