The Ferguson PD just received this:
The Pentagon needs to take some equipment back such as LRAD units. They have not been fully tested to find out all of the effects they have on humans. Their use in close quarters is especially troubling. The police seem to think these are toys to be used at will and in any circumstance.
All of the equipment given out should be vetted again to determine if it belongs in police departments. This equipment should also not be given out unless somebody is going to train others to use it. If they are going to have it on hand, they should know what to do that will be useful and not put everybody in danger including those who use it.
